Q1: What is the last date to apply for TS ePASS 2025-26?

A: If you’re SC/ST, no (limit is ₹2,00,000). If you’re BC/EBC/Minority in urban areas, no (limit is ₹2,00,000). Income must be BELOW the prescribed limit.

Q7: I’m studying through distance education. Can I apply?

A: No. Distance education, correspondence, and online courses are NOT eligible for TS ePASS scholarships. Only regular full-time courses qualify.

Q8: I took admission through management quota. Am I eligible?

A: No. Students admitted through management quota, sponsored seats, or payment seats are NOT eligible.

Q9: My attendance is 70%. Can I still apply?

A: No. Minimum 75% attendance per quarter is mandatory. If your attendance is below 75%, you’re not eligible.

Q10: I’m pursuing my second bachelor’s degree. Can I get scholarship?

A: No. Scholarship for the same level of education is given only once. If you already received scholarship for one bachelor’s degree, you cannot claim it for another bachelor’s degree.

Q11: My Aadhaar name is slightly different from SSC. What should I do?

A: You MUST update your Aadhaar name to match EXACTLY with your SSC certificate. Visit the nearest MeeSeva/Aadhaar Seva Kendra with both documents and request name correction. Wait 7-10 days for the update, then apply.

Q12: Can I use my father’s bank account?

A: No. The bank account must be in the student’s name only and must be linked with your Aadhaar. Parent’s accounts are not accepted.

Q13: I don’t have a bank account. What should I do?

A: Open a savings bank account in your name at any nationalized bank or India Post Payment Bank. Get it linked with your Aadhaar. This is mandatory for receiving scholarship payments.

Q14: My income certificate is 8 months old. Will it be accepted?

A: No. Income certificates must be issued within 6 months before application. Get a fresh certificate from the Tahsildar/MRO office through MeeSeva.

Q15: Which income certificate format should I use?

A: The income certificate must be:

• Issued by MRO/Tahsildar through MeeSeva center
• Digitally signed by the issuing officer
• Should mention employee code and stamp
• Valid for Financial Year 2025-26

Q16: How do I get a bonafide certificate?

A: Request your college administration office. The bonafide certificate must:

Q20: My application status shows ‘Pending at College’. What does this mean?

A: Your application is with your college for verification. Contact your college scholarship nodal officer or principal’s office to expedite verification.

Q21: Application approved but money not received. What to do?

A: First, check if 2-3 months have passed since approval. Then:

1. Verify your bank account is active and Aadhaar-linked
2. Check “Bank Remittance Details” on ePASS portal
3. If payment shows as processed, check with your bank
4. If not processed, file a grievance

Q22: How will tuition fees be paid?

A: Tuition fees are paid directly to your college by the government. You don’t receive this amount in your account. Only maintenance allowance (if applicable) comes to your account.

Q25: What is the renewal process?

Q26: I failed last year. Can I renew scholarship?

A: No. Scholarship renewal is only for students who have been promoted to the next academic year. Failed/detained students are not eligible for renewal.
